30.01.2011: Climate change causes extreme weather conditions in Saudi Arabia [1]
A Saudi meteorologist, Mansour Al-Mazrouei of the King Abdulaziz University (KAU)A predicts extreme weather conditions in the Kingdom in 2011. The region will be exposed to torrential rains, excessive heat or severe dry winds. Heavy rainfall is expected in Eastern Province, Qatar, Bahrain and Jeddah. Climate change causes serious problems for the region with eleven deaths during the recent heavy rains in Jeddah.

IPCC REPORT
Three scientists and the year 2035 [1]
The hype around the Intergovernamental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) prognosis that the glaciers of the Himalaya will be gone by 2035 is a great campaign to discredit the IPCC. It is quite difficult to cite an exact year when some changes will happen caused by climatologic factors, however it is impossible to say it will not happen. Who has proofs that it will not happen?
All the very lauded scientists which rise there voices to discredit the IPCC are those who are responsible for the failure of the Conference of Copenhagen.
Georg Kaser
Georg Kaser was a leading author of the IPCC report he now criticizes. Kaser is a glacier researcher at the University of Insbruck/Austria. While he denies the melting of the Himalaya his Alp glaciers, where he is sitting on, are dripping away. He will publish in the next issue of “Science” how the IPCC report was made public. Once again he may attract the attention on his person.
Professor Hans Joachim Schellnhuber
Schellnhuber, German climate researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research is eager to join the accusations against the IPCC calling for more quality control of the studies.
Kaser and Schellnhuber do not make public their own failure to provide solutions to the climate change. They were advisers of the politicians which met in Copenhagen. They failed to present a consistent global plan of renewable energies with could be realised by the community of all nations. The politicians were willing to come to a consensus, but they came with empty hands. These scientist are now polishing up their merits by defaming the IPCC.
Steven Chu [2]
Steven Chu, a Nobel Prize-winning experimental physicist, is secretary of energy in the Obama administration. His job was to wean America from dependence on fossil fuels, rebuild the nation's electrical grid and address the challenges of climate change. Chu has little experience inside the Beltway, the Energy Department, the manufacture maintenance of nuclear weapons and how to create a nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, near Las Vegas. For the time being storage of US nuclear waste is being done at open air. Chu has to manage 114,000 employees and contractors of the Department and a budget that has more than doubled this year. President Obama went to Copenhagen without any global solution from his secretary Steven Chu.
These three scientists are the culprits of a disorganized future of the global climate. The outcomes of their work are very meagre.

The UN Conference at Cancun 2010
11.12.2010: The miracle of Cancun and Patricia Espinosa [1]
Today all coal fired power plants in Germany were closed. Nuclear power plants in France shut down and BP has agreed to plant sugar beets in Germany and sugar cane in Brazil. Lufthansa and Emirate Airlines have put their airplanes to sell on the old metal market and look after sailing vessels.
The US and Steven Chu are happy, and China looks astonished on the beautiful new world created within hours. It is good to relax and see that all remains unchanged.
Scientist spending their time at institutes, like the Potsdammer Institute of Climte, the Wuppertaler Institute of climate may continue to produce absurdities instead of providing papers on how to decarbonise energy. The next meeting in December 2011 will be another unproductive happy meeting.
Looking back to Copenhagen [2]
According to a US cable the Vatican promised to use its influence to back Copenhagen climate deal. However, even the spiritual power of the Vatican could not turn Copenhagen to a success. It is therefore astonishing that the Miracle of Cancun was triggered by Patricia Espinosa, a non-religious politician. Is the Vatican weakening slightly, so as US does? Let us pray for both.

11.12.2010: The disastrous outcomes of Cancun 2010 [1]
United States rejects commitments: The agreement of Cancun urges wealthy countries to cut emissions by 25 to 40 percent by 2020, with exclusion of United States which rejects the Kyoto treaty working group.
Helping funds only after 2020: The Green Climate Fund is to administer money from the European Union, Japan and the United States of an amount of 100 billion dollars a year starting in 2020, along with 30 billion dollars in rapid assistance. Financial crisis limps the fund donors, and 2020 is far away. Nobody believes that some money of this will ever flow.
Deforestation and no-rights of indigenous people continues: Voices broad support for efforts to reduce the destruction of forests, asking to draft anti-deforestation plans and urges to respect the rights of indigenous people. (Brazil is building dams in the Amazon region modifying the ecology and displacing all living beings.)
Japan opposes to extend the treaty: A new meeting of the Kyoto Protocol group is scheduled for December 2011 in South Africa. Negotiations in Cancun do not require nations for now to inscribe their post-2012 commitments. Japan has led opposition to extending the treaty, saying it is unfair by not including China and the United States.
There is no reason to be proud of such an agreement. It does not tackle decarbonisation of fuel and nothing is binding. It is combating the effect of CO2 and not the cause. Read more

09.12.2010: The “Bermuda Triangle Effect” of Cancún, where all incentives and efforts disappear [1]
There are many delegates, there are many speeches held at Cancún, but at home everything remains unchanged and the nature is threatened. Here are the facts:
Germany
The Federal President Wulf on 6.12.2010 signed the extended term of German nuclear power plants by 14 years. This increases the nuclear waste with no place to store it for the next billion years. Norbert Röttgen, German environmental minister denies permission for the export of old DDR nuclear waste to Russia because of safety concern of the repository in Majak (Ural) where surroundings are contaminated by radioactive spills. Mr.Wulf must be accused for increased nuclear waste production.
USA
The United States is responsibility for the failure of a global plan at Copenhagen according to leaked diplomatic cables between Washington and Beijing. A repetition in Cancún is unavoidable.
The United States is responsible for the largest share of excess CO2 in the atmosphere. Obama is too weak to counter the the Republicans which are against any international climate protection measures. US citizens are plagued by the economic crisis and their dubious banking and Wall Street stock market. System There is little room left for energy secretary Steven Chu which ironically puts the future US activities on remedying the rotten electrical grid, developing genetic engineering to produce drought resistant GM plants and altering cows physiology to reduce methane from digestion. Chu is a scientist which has to hide in a locker of his office ashamed to be unable to present feasible alternatives to a decarbonisation of fuels.
Brazil
Brazil participates with the “Bermuda Triangle Effect”. The country asks for incentives to reduce deforestation of the Amazon region. Meanwhile efforts of the government in Brasilia lead to the industrialisation of the region under Roberto Mangabeira Unger. This caused the resignation of Marina Silva as environmental minister. A series of dams at the Rio Negro and in the proximities of Santarem, such as the Belo Monte Dam are under construction and planed to produce electricity by Eletrobras for the aluminium industry. Belo Monte dam at the Xingu river will transform forest in a water landscape
Norway
The prime minister of Norway Jens Stoltenberg is one of few head of state which dare to appear at Cancún. He offers a billion dollars for reduction of deforestation and promises to make his country carbon neutral by 2030 by investing in climate projects in other countries. This will not cover up the fact that global emission rises rapidly. Politicians and scientists like Steven Cu, and climate institutes must be blamed to be unable to present feasible global solution. [2]

Decarbonisation of fuel, a feasible global solution
The politicians should invest the incentives and tax reduction which are given to oil, natural gas and coal to develop solar energy and wind farms. Investments must consider efficiency. Germany invests enormous resources in photovoltaic in a region with barely 1000 sunshine hours/year, while the sunbelt of the Arabian countries offer 3000 hours. Hydrogen as energy storage and as fuel for transportation can complete the decarbonisation of our energy economy. Governments must step down of their throne of isolation and cooperate with Arabian leaders. Have wind farms at Germany is OK. The country has plenty of wind, but not sun. Therefore, a global cooperation between countries to install the correct energy system in the correct place should be a task of the United Nations. This organisation is bearing the responsibility to initiate such a move to brotherhood among the nations.

The UN Conference at Copenhagen 2009
The UN Conference at Copenhagen in December 2009 will set the international climate change agreement for the post-2012 period.
Many meetings and Conferences took place after the first conference at Bali.
Impact of the global financial crisis
Unfortunately the final conference will take place in the peak of a financial world depression. The government will look to lowest costs of energy to back their economy.
Only economic interests will dominate the talks. To harmonise climate issues, economic interests and to relieve poverty, a GLOBAL ENERGY INITIATIVE is being proposed. This initiative may be adopted by he UN Conference at Copenhagen 2009. It provides immediate results, tackles the pollution caused by transportation and produces revenues for regions which are the poores of the world.
Please see the detail at GLOBAL ENERGY INITIATIVE
Suggested Solar Energy/Hydrogen economy
A clean energy solution, based on Solar Energy/Hydrogen economy is presented as a suggestion to the UN Conference in Copenhagen 2009. Local activities evolve to a global DCgrid. The Initiative creates new energy markets. It is designed to help car manufacturing business and their suppliers. Climate protection and financial crisis may be targeted using resources to build a society with zero emission.
European Hydrogen Initiative
The EU Hydrogen Initiative uses electricity from solar energy and wind turbines for the electrolysis of water. Hydrogen is used as fuel for cars. The deserts of Africa, Middle East, Asia, USA and Australia may provide the entire humanity with clean solar electricity and Hydrogen as fuel for transportationfuel.
DOWNLOAD EU_Initiative
India and China are increasing rapidly the number or cars on their roads. Internal combustion engines may be equipped with double fuel injection systems and double fuel tanks. These cars may use petrol or hydrogen, depending on the availability of gas pumps. A strategy for an immediate introduction of hydrogen cars is presented.

Milestones on the way to Copenhagen
The Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement linked to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The major feature of the Kyoto Protocol is that it sets binding targets for 37 industrialized countries and the European community for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions . It ends in 2012, therefore many meetings were held to prepare an post-2012 agreement:
- Italy: Summer 2009: G8+5 Governments Summit
- Geneva, Switzerland: 31 August – 4 September 2009World Climate Conference-3. Climate prediction and information for decision-making.
- Copenhagen, Denmark: UN Negotiations (COP 15). Final post-2012 agreement.
Most work is being done at the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), located in Bonn, Germany.
